The word Health comes from the archaic Germanic word hailiþō, meaning Wholeness

Our group therapy format provides a dynamic space for exploring the interpersonal and intrapersonal, the psychodynamic and  the manifest, areas of your life. Group therapy offers the opportunity for enhancing

Peer Workforce Supervision

We offer supportive, strength-based Peer Supervision for anyone working in the Lived Experience space, whether in mental health support, addictions treatment or forensic care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy and counselling are both types of mental health therapy that often cross over with each other during therapy, while there are distinct technical differences. Counselling generally aims to help people resolve current, discrete issues, while psychotherapy usually focuses more on long-term issues that may be historic or developmental in nature. A counsellor is more likely to help with a specific difficulty, current problem or surface issue. An example might include a bereavement or a difficulty that is not necessarily rooted in the past. A psychotherapist is more likely to help with more deep-rooted difficulties that affects a client’s life. Examples might include child abuse or trauma. A psychotherapist might help a client with psychological difficulties in life caused by internal difficulties whereas a counsellor might help a client with a problem triggered by external circumstances. It is important to note that what may at first appear to be a current or discrete problem to be resolved in isolation may in fact be connected to historic and underlying patterns of dysfunction or trauma. Ultimately, effective therapy often blends elements of both, and the distinction is much less important than the decision to begin the healing journey.

What can I expect during a therapy session?

We first and foremost aim to create a safe and comfortable space for which to explore yourself in, which is indispensable to any transformational or trauma based therapy. We are focused on bringing compassion, care and understanding to every session and to work with you at your own pace. Gentle challenge can also be an important part of the therapeutic process and is introduced in line with your stage of readiness and development. During our sessions we will explore what is happening or has been happening in your life that brought you into therapy. We will work with you to bring you closer to your more whole and authentic self and to some of those maybe out of reach or unrecognised internal resources.

How long is an individual therapy session?

Sessions are a standard 50 minute 'psychotherapeutic hour'. The use of the traditional psychotherapeutic hour allows us to take time in-between patients to read over and write additional notes. This in turn allows us to maintain best practice.

How long does treatment take?

This is something that becomes clearer to each individual over time. It could be weeks, months or years. But the crucial aspects are regularity and reliability and, of course, to begin the journey.

Are you insured?

Yes, belonging to a Professional Association (PACFA) requires that we be insured by an approved provider of Professional Indemnity and Public & Products Liability insurance.

What are your fees, method of payment and cancellation policy?

Individual therapy is $180 per 50 minute session. Payment is required at the time of booking via our STRIPE secure online credit card platform or PayPal payment. For details about Integration Therapies' cancellation policy, follow this link 👉🏼

Are you able to provide Medicare rebates or are you registered with any private health insurance providers?

No, all sessions are as per the fees schedule above.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Simply contact us via phone or our contact form to book a convenient time for your initial consultation, or to first have a complimentary introductory chat. We strive to accommodate your schedule needs and will provide prompt communication and assistance.

Do you offer in-person therapy sessions or just online?

At the moment all therapy sessions are offered online only.

What is mental health?

'Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realise their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. It is an integral component of health and well-being that underpins our individual and collective abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape the world we live in.'
